I think that anytime a peripheral surpasses the cost of a person’s computer it will make them think twice about getting it.

Now if Microsoft had their way…

I look at $1200 and think about the 24″ monitor and dual-core computer that I got over a year ago for that price. Before I bought a $1200 keyboard I would go out and get another 24″ monitor to make a dual-monitor setup. That would enhance my productivity where the Optimus would mostly be for bragging rights.

This is a worse launch than the PS3.

These guys should sell the patent off to Logitech. They know how to do keyboards right, and they would never dare to sell a keyboard for $1200 (their most expensive one is $200).

I have only seen a few people say that it has to be a joke…but most comments are along the lines of:

Do you guys accept internal organs as a credit towards this KEYBOARD?

What is the price after the mail-in rebate?

But I assume the person’s comment you are talking about is this one:

The post says “on December 12 we are going to accept only 103 pre-orders at a price of US$1200 with a shipping date about May 2007. Later on we’ll start accepting more pre-orders at sub-1000 price”

I bet “on December 12″ means “on December 12″, and “Later on” means “on December 13″.

Dollar sign comes in front of “1200″ – this might be a hint!

Funny enough, I always thought Optimus was a useless thing that no one will buy, but all these “good-bye-tÑ‘ma” comments make by pretty sure it will indeed sell good.

I think that might be someone trying to justify that the post is just sarcasm. Did I miss a comment?

That may be why they cost so much.

If they made 100,000 of these things i’m sure it would be cheaper.
