Wood Computer Case Mod


Now, would you like to have your computer in the living room, but your wife won’t let you because it will stand out like a sore thumb. Well, why not fancy up the computer case a little by giving it a wood enclosure. It may sound easy, but there could be quite a few challenges ahead of you if you decide to do this.

The main concept for the layout of the case was the inner and outer frames. The inner frame is what contains all of the components and the outer frame contains the lighting and, the doors, and such. The inner frame is made of 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch transparent dark grey acrylic while the outer frame is made out of mahogany, spruce, and ebony woods. The outer frame is not glued but held in with the ebony pins.
