Microsoft has released Windows Live Local which will allow a user to view maps in standard map format or as aerial image. To take it a step above Google, however, Microsoft has implemented 45 degree views for various popular cities. Microsoft claims that with the number of “Bird’s Eye Views” they have will account for 25% of the U.S. population. A sample of this view is below.
