Cingular recently announced a new 3G service for their high-speed data transfer network — Video Streaming! That is all fine and dandy, but who is going to benefit from this? Right now, no one. The phones that would support this new service are yet to be announced. They do however have a contract with HBO to provide some video feeds from them, but still, no phones to watch the shows with. Sprint and Verizon have already been utilizing this service for quite some time now and already have a wide range of high-tech phones with this multimedia compatability.
