Microsoft Windows Vista CTP Set For February 21st

According to Bink.nu the next version of Microsoft Windows Vista will be released around February 21st. Despite the thoughts of this being the Beta 2 version, the word on the street is that the official Beta 2 won't be released until April some time. The February CTP should be feature complete considering the December CTP was pretty close to feature complete.

Tip Of The Day: Recovering Your Lost Firefox Bookmarks

As much as we all hate to say it, sometimes it does happen where your bookmarks will just disappear in Firefox. Luckily, Firefox 1.5 makes automatic backups of your bookmarks each day. The only time that I have ever heard of Firefox losing bookmarks was after the installation of an extension.

Google News No Longer In Beta

Google removed the Beta tag today from Google News after almost 4 years! This comes after the recent addition of the 'Recommended' and 'Most Popular' section to the Google News Home Page. Ever notice how Google thrives on classifying things as Beta? Now don't get me wrong, I am a huge Google fan, but I just find that interesting. I think they realize that the 'Beta' tag spikes interest in people.

This is a commercial from Germany about the older Xbox (not the Xbox 360), nonetheless it is pretty funny. It features two 747 planes racing, and if you wonder what the lady says at the end: "The planes are now ready to be boarded". The whole commercial is in German, but you will get the gist of it anyway!

ThePirateBay.org Gets Their eBay Auction Pulled

Just yesterday I had written an article on ThePirateBay.org selling themselves on eBay for a fundraiser technique to pay for their new $12,000+ server. The auction didn't last long because eBay was quick to pull it. The reason why we think it was pulled was because in the listing they said "we've decided to go prostitutes on you and sell ourselves for money".
