According to Bink.nu the next version of Microsoft Windows Vista will be released around February 21st. Despite the thoughts of this being the Beta 2 version, the word on the street is that the official Beta 2 won't be released until April some time. The February CTP should be feature complete considering the December CTP was pretty close to feature complete.

Have you been trying to find somewhere to watch the banned Xbox 360 commercial? It took us a little while to find a place that either wasn't getting hammered and didn't have limited bandwidth dedicated to the movie. Microsoft has released an update rollup for all those Windows Media Center users out there (like me). A list of features that are going to be implemented in Firefox 2.0 has been released. For those of you who are anxious to get your hands on it, they say that a feature complete version has to be released by the end of the first quarter. This has to be done in order to meet the final release date slated for the middle of the year. It seems like it was only yesterday since Firefox 1.5 was released.

Opera has released Opera Mini which allows cell phone users to browse the web in style! They have a list of cell phones that are officially supported. Opera Mini uses Java so your cell phone must be able to support Java, which is true for most phones made after 2001.

Google removed the Beta tag today from Google News after almost 4 years! This comes after the recent addition of the 'Recommended' and 'Most Popular' section to the Google News Home Page. Ever notice how Google thrives on classifying things as Beta? Now don't get me wrong, I am a huge Google fan, but I just find that interesting. I think they realize that the 'Beta' tag spikes interest in people.
