It has been about 3 months since Avant Browser was last updated and it was just updated again today. I don’t personally use this browser but I have before and it is a nice alternative to Internet Explorer. From the list of changes it looks like they made a lot of improvements (the most notable improvement would probably be to the UI speed). If you are looking for a GOOD Internet Explorer alternative then this is the one that I like the best. It always ran a little better for me than Maxthon did and I like the feature set a little better. I am not sure about the current release but I know past releases ran well with the Google Toolbar even though it is not officially compatible with it. Anyhow, here is the list of changes in this build:
- Updated Development Environment to latest Borland Delphi 2006 Enterprise. All previous versions are compiled by Delphi 6 released in 2000.
- Open Links from MSN.
- Improved Popup Blocker for experts-exchange.com.
- Improved Tab Buttons.
- Improved Find/Highlight.
- Improved Favicon handling.
- Improved multi-monitor support.
- Improve UI speed.
- Improved Page Scrolling.
