For those of you who have been waiting for this day, it is finally here. Just moments ago Google Calendar went live. They are sporting all of the features and screenshots that were expected when the information got leaked before. Well, there is not much to say other than "enjoy it!"

Yahoo Widget Engine 3.1 Released

The Yahoo Widget Engine, formerly known as Konfabulator, has now been updated to version 3.1. There is quite an extensive list of changes for both the Mac and Windows versions. From scrolling through the change list it appears that many of the changes are to help safeguard the user and beef up the security.

Google Patents Voice Search Technology

What is Google going to come out with next? Well, many are starting to believe that it is going to be voice searching capabilities. People are thinking this because Google recently filed Patent #7,027,987 to protect their idea of a "voice interface for a search engine". So how is it going to work? Yahoo Maps Beta Adds Satellite Images

Yahoo, in hopes to rival their competition, has finally added satellite images to their mapping system. After using it for a little while (I had to install Flash first) I started to like how smooth it ran. They did a really nice job putting it together, however, I don't believe that they did enough to pull people away from the already popular Google Maps.

Best Buy Gets Sued For Using Pirated Software

Best Buy is being sued by Winternals Software LP for allegedly using their software without the proper number of licenses. The software that is in question is currently used by the Geek Squad and costs $1,200 per license.
