It does remind me of Hi5 in a way because Facebook links you to other people. Also, like Orkut you can join certain "clubs" which will also link you to other people.

Hmm, obviously it's a national thing - I've not once heard of this company (in the UK), despite its rather hefty price tag. It sounds just like Orkut/Bebo/Hi5 kind of thing - but looks a bit more pro than the later 2. Am I right in seeing such similarity?

I think that it is smart that they are trying to expand Facebook because of its overwhelming popularity.

Here at Iowa State University most students have a Facebook account. They update it almost religiously and have hundreds of people that they communicate with through Facebook. I think that for large corporations this is especially smart. You can get to know people within your corporation that you would not normally meet. Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if they started to throw some match-making capabilities in there to try and start some relationships.

Hello,

I am curious, what do you think about this addition? I have to admit that I am a user of facebook, but I am wondering if the business generation will see this interesting. Especially, since the corporate world already has LinkedIn, I am not too sure how this will end up.

What are your thoughts?
