Google Video Gets A Movie Trailer Section

Google steps up and starts competing with Apple by creating a movie trailers section in Google Videos. I believe this is important because of all the rumors flying around that Google is secretly working on an iTunes killer called Google Music.

Sidekick III Release Scheduled For June 26

Information on the much anticipated Sidekick III release is very sparse but Gizmodo says that they have some reliable dates. A celebrity launch party is expected to be on June 20 and located in New York City while other "normal" people will get to savor the goodies on June 26. These dates have not been confirmed by T-Mobile but they do sound reasonable.

Vista And Suse 10.1 Go Head-To-Head

Desktop Linux has done an article that compares Suse 10.1 and Vista, and talks about how much Suse is better. I currently use both of those Operating Systems and they are both very well designed. Right now I would have to say Suse 10.1 is ahead of Vista, but there is one major point that you have to keep in mind...Vista is still in Beta!

Paul Thurrott has a very important article that discusses software that is and isn't compatible with Vista Beta 2. For me the most important software that isn't Vista compatible is Nero 7, but that hasn't kept me from using Vista.

Is Dell Getting Closer To Selling Macs?

Michael Dell has talked about carrying Macs before, but is this some kind of hint? Engadget reports that the Dell Drivers Site now has Apple Mac OS drivers listed. They are also careful to point out that the files attached to the Apple Mac OS don't appear to be Mac drivers. They believe that listing the Apple Mac OS was just an accident by Dell, but that is a pretty big oops!

Ubuntu 6.06 is scheduled for release this Thursday, June 1. This comes just 1 month after Beta 2 was released to the public which is quite impressive (if Microsoft did that then we would have Vista by the end of June :) ).

Google Voice Search Homepage?

It looks like we finally know what Google was doing with that Voice Search Patent from over a month ago. They will be allowing users to search by voice over the telephone. The homepage below is very very basic but gives us some insight into the service: You say a query, it sends you the results, you say another query, and so on.

Google Is Experimenting With A New Homepage

It looks like Google is testing a new homepage that will shift some links around and that is about it. There is no official word on if this new homepage was just a Photoshop job or if it is real, but I would say that it looks reasonable enough to be real.

Tweak Firefox 2.0′s Session Restore Feature

I have received a few messages from people asking why the Session Restore in Firefox 2.0 is only set to restore after a crash. I am sure Mozilla is going to make this a full-featured session restore soon but in the mean time this tweak should quench some of you power-hungry Firefox users.

People use Google Maps in a ton of different ways. The Google Maps API makes it easy for web developers to create their own applications that are fun to play with and some that are really useful. GMail Might Show Froogle Results Near Advertisements

Google may soon be placing Froogle product recommendations in GMail whenever Google finds a product name in the content of the email. This is very interesting as Garett Rogers points out because this new service could anger some online retail sites.
