If you are like me then you will have forgotten all about the 3D Web Browsers that were being developed in the 90’s. The one that I remember was CubicEye which has since turned into a 3D application platform. However, there are still 3B, Browse3D, and SphereXPlorer that are available for those people who want to get the 3D experience while browsing the Web.
I am not familiar with any of those browsers, but I was looking at CubicEye again and this demo was actually kind of cool. It shows how they utilize the 3D view to display search results quicker. It isn’t something that I would use on a regular basis because of how much screen space it takes up, but it is just one of those things that are cool to look at.
