Microsoft Starts Offering Virtual PC 2004 For Free

Microsoft has done something that they do not do very often...they are giving away software! Virtual PC 2004 is the freebie which allows you to run other operating systems without the need to partition your hard drive. Virtual PC 2004 can run in Windows XP/2000 and here is a list of operating systems it supports:

Dell Launches Blog, One2One

One2One is a new blog launched by Dell that will be authored by multiple Dell employees. According to the "about" section on the blog, "the best way to understand and serve our customers is to talk to them directly" which is why the blog was created. It appears to be set up as an informal way to ask questions, discuss, and get answers.

Apple Boot Camp 1.0.2 Beta Released

Apple surprised the world when they released Boot Camp because it allows Mac users to dual boot the Mac OS with Windows. Now they have updated Boot Camp again.

Google Maps Gets Zoom Enhancements

Google has incorporated two new features into Google Maps: double-click to zoom and continuous zoom. It is no longer a hassle to zoom in to a certain point on the map. All you have to do is double-click on that spot and Google will zoom to it.

Firefox 2.0 Visual Refresh Pictures

We have all been waiting to see what the new Firefox 2.0 Visual Refresh was going to look like and now we get a glimpse of it. You can tell by looking at the overall picture above that they are trying to give a more glossy effect to the buttons. It kind of reminds me of Windows Media Player 11.

Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 Finally Released

Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 is now on the Mozilla FTP server. This release is available in a large variety of languages for Windows, Mac, and Linux users. I have been working on a review of this build and it should be posted a little later today.

CyberNotes: Firefox 2.0 Memory Leaks

Firefox is a great browser and with version 2.0 due in August many people are expecting great things. However, it seems like it doesn't even matter to people whether Mozilla puts any new features in they just want to see the memory leaks disappear.
