CrossOver Mac Beta Released To The Public

The days of virtual machines may be coming to an end with Macs because there are much better solutions available. Mac users can use Boot Camp if they want to run Windows directly on their machine or they can download the CrossOver Mac Beta which will let them directly run their Windows programs in the Mac OS X.

Keep Track Of Unread Comments At CyberNet

We have another addition for the registered users of our site. It is difficult to keep track of comments especially when they are from posts that were weeks ago. That's why for the last few hours (hence the light posting) I have set it up so that you can keep track of comments you have not read yet.

Google Planning To Tag Images With GPS Data?

Some of you may have decided to fork out the $20 to upgrade your Google Earth to the Plus edition. The key feature of the Plus edition is the GPS support that it has...which may soon be even more useful.

Microsoft Office 2007 Beta 2 TR Screenshots & Release Date

I have been waiting for Microsoft to release the Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh because it has already been a few months since the last release of Beta 2. I have also seen a lot of really cool features, such as the auto-hiding ribbon, that is supposed to be in the upcoming release.

CyberNotes: How To Schedule A Drive To Defragment

One of the coolest things in Vista is that it will automatically defragment itself once a week. I know very few people who defragment their computers at all and if I heard that someone was doing it once each week I would probably pass out! I don't know why Microsoft didn't make it automatic in XP but you can schedule it yourself.

No Vista 5536 Pre-RC1 Downloads Left

Microsoft has finally depleted their supply of 100,000 downloads that they were giving out of Vista 5536. That build is considered to be Pre-RC1 but you shouldn't be too disappointed if you didn't get an opportunity to download it. If RC1 remains on schedule it should be available sometime next week.

WinRoll: Collapse Your Programs Like Google Talk

One of the coolest, and probably unknown, features in Google Talk is the ability to click on the title bar of a chat window and to have it collapse. It doesn't exactly minimize the window but makes it smaller so that you reclaim your desktop space but you can also easily re-open the chat.

Remote Desktop For Mac OS X

Do you think Microsoft hates Mac's? Well, I'm sure they do except when it comes to running Microsoft software. They made Microsoft Office for a Mac because they saw an open opportunity to make more money.

Portable Sudoku Makes It Easy To Play Anywhere

Everyone is addicted to Sudoku and if you say you're not addicted then you probably haven't played it. Online versions have popped up all over the place to help people cope with their addiction. However, you don't always have an Internet connection wherever you go.

You Can Now Download Books From Google

So the word is out that Google is now letting users download books for free from the Google Books site. I went ahead and decided to try it because I wanted to see how they would prevent other sites from downloading the PDF and redistributing it themselves.

The Matrix For Windows XP

As most of you know I try to post something funny every now and then. I came across this on Google Video and I couldn't help but laugh. It's so weird that it is funny in my opinion.

CyberNotes: Minimo Is The Firefox For Your Pocket PC

I have been the proud owner of the HP iPAQ 5455 for over a year now and it is great having the built-in wireless capabilities. One thing that every Pocket PC lacks in my opinion is a great browser. Opera has a nice mobile browser that I played with but I wasn't compelled to purchase it after the 30-day trial.

OpenOffice.org Premium 2.0.3 Released

OpenOffice.org is a great Microsoft Office alternative but people say that it lacks some things that would really make it great. Maybe a bunch of templates or some clip art would help sway your mind into the world of open source software?

Flickr Steps Up The Competition With Geotagging

It looks like Flickr is now entering Zooomr's area of expertise: Geotagging. Now I'm not big on uploading my photos to the Web yet because I want the ability to order my pictures in a folder-like structure. However, I have used the services from both Flickr and Zooomr but it is tough to say which one is better.

The Mac Cube That’s Now A Mini MacPro

So what would you do if you owned a Mac Cube? Someone figured out what they wanted to do and there was no holding them back. They took an ordinary Mac Cube and dressed it up to look like a MacPro. Looking at the pictures really shows that this is not a job of some amateur either.
