OLPC Project Has Sold 4 Million Laptops AlreadyDesktopLinux.com is reporting that the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Project has 4 countries on board to purchase their laptops. Nigeria, Brazil, Argentina, and Thailand have all placed orders for 1 million of the $100 laptops that continue to amaze people. Speculation is that they need to sell 5 million laptops before they can start production which shouldn’t be a problem since they already have 4 countries committed. Other countries won’t want to feel left behind so they will probably jump on the bandwagon as well.

There have also been several companies that are giving OLPC a hand: AMD, eBay, Google, Nortel, and Red Hat are the big names and there are also several other companies involved. If you want to learn more about the OLPC laptops you can watch this video or visit the Wiki.
