Writely is now available for everyone to use! Here at CyberNet we gave out over 100 invitations to join the Writely service but the invites aren’t needed now. Just head on over to their registration page and it will just take you a minute to sign-up.
I was super surprised to see this message in my RSS reader that said “Writely registration is now open!” If anything I was expecting “We’ve completed the move to Google!” In their blog they do mention that they are still moving over to Google but they didn’t want to make anyone wait longer.

Writely might be OK for trivial word-processing but it doesn’t come close to making the grade for WYSIWYG blog editing. See http://oakleafblog.blogspot.co.....-thud.html.
I agree, it is a good step in the right direction but it is far from a Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.org Writer replacement.
