Google has finally released Picasa 2.5 Beta 3 and it has some nice new features. The most notable of the features would be the screensaver option which can be found under the Tools menu. This feature was in Beta 2 but there are some additional tweaks that you can do to it.

GIMP is one of the nicest photo manipulation programs that I have ever used...now that I am able to use it. Most people have heard of GIMP at one time or another but you probably brushed it off because you have been a long time Photoshop user. I know I did and after seeing the differences between the two applications I knew that there was no way I would be able to adjust to it.

Microsoft has been really impressive lately with all of the Windows Live releases that they have had. One of my favorites is, of course, the Windows Live Writer which is the best blogging software that I have used. There are a few kinks but nothing that won't eventually be taken care of.
