Vista RC1 has been running like a champ for the past week but I finally found a bug. I received the error message below when I tried to open an HTML file with Notepad++:
Do people really want to know when a system error completes successfully?
I’m sure the error is partly the fault of Notepad++ since it isn’t announced to be Vista compatible. However, I would think that Microsoft could come up with a more informative error message and maybe, just maybe, the title of the message could read “System Error” instead of “System Err”.
The world would be a horrible place without error messages, right?

Excuse me while I clean up my monitor
That’ll teach me to take a drink while loading a post titled ‘Laugh of The Day’! Gotta to admit though, great error!
I’m glad you got as much of a kick out of that as I did.
Vista is such a disaster - how could MS possibly think RC1 is a true ‘release candidate’. They are a ship of fools.
Error messages are always sketchy at best. Yesterday I got an error from my printer:
Yeh, really useful message there.
