Free Dunkin Donuts 16oz Iced Coffee From Yahoo

Wow, we all thought it was going to be some kind of cheap coffee but it looks like you can get a 16oz Iced Coffee for "setting Yahoo as your homepage." I decided to give it a shot so I opened IE7 to do it (didn't want it to mess with my Firefox homepages). I saw the little advertisement on Yahoo.com that is pictured above so I clicked on it.

Easily Compare The Different Windows Vista Themes

Windows Vista is going to have a couple different themes available for users to pick from, but which one will you choose? the istartedsomething.com site put together a great way to compare the various themes from the Aero Glass all the way to Windows Classic. Once you are on their site you just have to hover your mouse over the "buttons" that I point to in the image above.

Will Microsoft Lose Users To OpenOffice.org?

There has also been a big question in my mind lately: "Will OpenOffice.org benefit or be hurt because of Microsoft Office 2007 release?"

USB Rechargeable Batteries

These 1300mAh USB Cell batteries aren't your the typical batteries that you would pick up at the gas station. Instead, you can plug these directly into your computer's USB ports in order to give them a charge.

Writely Switches To Google Authentication…And Nothing More

Writely sent out emails to all registered users the other day which said that they were switching over to Google Authentication. I figured that meant that they were going to make a complete switch over to Google including changing the logo, branding and layout.

CyberNotes: Speed Up Your PC By Deleting Startup Programs

One of the biggest things I hate about installing new programs is the clutter that they add to your computer's startup process. There seems to be an increasing number of programs, such as Adobe Acrobat, that love to preload their software so that it will seem lightning fast when you run it.

The Zune Gets A Pricecut Before It’s Even Released

Two days ago Wal-Mart had accidentally posted the price of the Zune as $284 but Microsoft is already giving it a pricecut thanks to an inside tip Gizmodo received. The new price, $229, was decided upon to make sure they undercut the iPod by $20 (the 30GB iPod is currently selling for $249).

Google Base Gets A Redesign And Loses A Search Box

Google Base has revamped their homepage and it doesn't seem that different to me. In fact, one thing that they did do was remove the search box which really puzzles me. Now I have to click on a category in order to pull up a page that allows me to perform a search.

"Open Command Window Here" Built Into Vista

How cool is this? You can now open a Command Prompt for any directory in Vista without having to download a Powertoy (like the one available for Windows XP). However, they do keep it hidden to protect users from, well, themselves. All you have to do though is hold down the Shift key and right-click on a folder (if you just right-click without the Shift key you will not see the option):

CyberNotes: Customizing Firefox Portable To Google Calendar

I have been intensely using the Google Calendar for over a week but I knew I needed a better solution to make sure I always have it open. It needed to be easy to get to otherwise I would forget to add events to it.

Download The First Release Candidate Of Firefox 2 RC1

Okay, this one was a little bit of a tongue twister so I wasn't quite sure how to say it. Technically I should say Firefox 2 RC1 RC1 but I guess it would make more sense if I refer to it as the first Release Candidate of Firefox RC1. Well, it doesn't really matter how you say it, instead all that matters is that the download is available.

Google Analytics Increases Available Profiles To 50

It looks like Google is handling the scalability issue very well with Google Analytics. They now allow you to to create up to 50 profiles. Typically you'll have just one profile per site or subdomain but you can combine them if you want to.
