Meebo

Just a little bit ago Meebo announced that they had the 500,000th user register earlier today. That may not sound like that many because I always hear about a lot of people using the service, but you have to take into consideration that you don’t have to register in order to use Meebo. That is one of my favorite things about the site.

Here are some of the stats that they talk about in their blog:

  • 950,000 logins per day
  • 670,000 unique logins per day
  • Average person logs in 1.4 times per day
  • 1.35 million network ID’s are logged in each day
  • 3.5 million unique logins per month
  • 57,000,000 message sent daily
  • 64,000,000 minutes spent chatting each day = 122 years! (view graph)
  • Average of 70 minutes per session
  • 42,000 Meebo Me widgets used
  • 600,000 unique URL’s have seen the widget
  • 6,000,000+ unique people have seen the widget

I applaud Meebo for their hard work and dedication to make instant messaging easier for everyone. I hope they keep it up and continue to roll out new features.
