It has been a little while since I have taken a look to see what Firefox 3 (codenamed Gran Paradiso and also known as Minefield) is up to. I didn't expect it to be much different than Firefox 2 but there were a few features, such as Places, that had gotten pushed back for the release of Firefox 3. In a matter of a few minutes I had the latest nightly build up and running.

I haven't heard much about the next version of Windows Mobile but Gizmodo found out about this site who had a few screenshots of the new mobile operating system. It looks pretty slick from the few screenshots that were available and it is obvious that they were aiming for a Windows Vista look and feel.

OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 was just put on the FTP server and can now be downloaded. They have not updated the download page to reflect the new version so the release notes are currently not available. Here is a list of what was expected to be done for this release

Microsoft Windows is obviously the most used operating system and sometimes we may take for granted how far computers have come. Each time a new version of Windows is released we compare it to the previous version and with the upcoming release of Vista everyone likes to say "what's different from XP?"

Yahoo! has launched a unique Time Capsule service for the world to participate and share their words, photos, videos, sounds, or drawings. There are multiple categories that you can place your item in (seen in the image to the right) depending upon the feelings that you have for it.

Apparently Google is done excluding Macs with all of their new technology.  For a while now, it seemed products/services were fairly limited for all the Mac users until today when Google announced that they're starting a new Google Mac Blog. The blog is  specifically for those wanting the inside scoop about Macs at Google.

Everyone hates having to provide their email address to sites because they just aren't sure what kind of spam they'll receive. That's why we have spam filters but you know those don't always work (GMail does do a pretty amazing job though).
