Google To Sweep Up Facebook? New Rumors Abound

First Google snatches away YouTube for 1.65 Billion, and now the rumors are rampant that Google is in talks to purchase Facebook for an estimated 2.3 billion. Of course, this is just a rumor but it certainly would not come as a surprise.  Also in the picture is Yahoo and Microsoft, and so we're left to speculate who will win the battle.

Offline Version Of Google’s New Docs & Spreadsheets?

Garett Rogers from Googling Google went sifting through the source code of the new Google Docs service that was just released late last night. He found a few interesting things, like always, but some of the code seems to indicate that an offline version of Writely may be coming soon.

Google finally brought their online text editor, called Writely, into a Google branded page. In fact they combined Writely with Google Spreadsheets and have now renamed the service to Google Docs & Spreadsheets (clever, huh).

CyberNotes: Introducing Avant Browser 11

It has been over two-months since we last discussed the status of Avant Browser 11, which was in the Beta phase at the time. It was officially released around the middle of September but I held off writing about it because they were providing updates almost everyday. It appears that it has finally settled down a little bit.
