We recently wrote about Cooliris which we described as an easier, faster, more efficient way to browse the web. It is a free browser extension (with different capabilities) for IE, Firefox, and Safari. With this extension, you're able to preview the content underlying each link before you click. Recently, they released a new version for Firefox, 1.9 which has some additional features worth mentioning!
According to one of Microsoft's bloggers the release date for Internet Explorer 7 appears to be October 18th. For those of you grabbing for your calendar I'll let you know that it is next Wednesday...a day after Mozilla plans on shipping Firefox 2 RC3.
I have often wondered what the inside of the hard drive looks like when it is being used. Sure I have taken one or two apart for the sake of "experimenting" but I never thought to power it up after I had it open. Apparently someone else did and managed to snap a video:
Back in May I talked about Taskbar Shuffle as the program that lets you rearrange the items that are in your Windows Taskbar. It is as simple as dragging and dropping them around until you have everything exactly where you want it.
Apparently Google's acquisition of YouTube may have done more good than we thought? I guess there are now talks about sharing advertisement revenue with users who upload videos. You would supposedly get a portion of the advertising money that is generated only from the videos that you upload.
Firefox 2 RC3 is nearing release and should be out next Tuesday if everything goes as planned. In the mean time Mozilla is testing out what could end up being Firefox 2 RC3 and the downloads are available on their FTP. If you don't want to use the FTP you can download whatever language you would like (almost all are available) by using the drop-down menu that I have put together:
One thing I hate the most are popup windows but sometimes they just seem unavoidable. JavaScript pop-ups are all over the place and it is frustrating when you can't resize the window or have access to the navigation bar.
