I have kept myself busy for the past day or so working on a nice release calendar system to display in the sidebar. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to do it but after a little research I was able to put together what I think is a nice solution.
I have been using Paint.NET for months now and it is one of the free programs that I use the most. I have actually received several emails in the last week regarding their Alpha 1 release and now there is actually a newer Alpha 2 available.

Garett Rogers is reporting that the Google Page Creator just lost a feature that it was recently introduced as experimental. That feature added a link to the homepage that said "Create a site with a different address." If you clicked on that link it would let you create a domain in the format of *.googlepages.com.

Back when I was running Windows XP (now I'm on Windows Vista RC2) one thing that I really loved was the Windows Desktop Search 3. At that time it was still in the Beta stage but it looks like they have finally gotten around to releasing it.
Firefox is definitely known for having some pretty crazy and viral marketing plans so it looks like Microsoft felt like they had to step it up a notch. They are now taking their advertising campaign to the road in hopes of letting the world know about the new Internet Explorer 7!
Over time I have had countless encounters with people who ask what Firefox extensions that I use, whether it be people from this site or simply friends that I am trying to convince to start using Firefox. I love telling people what I use but I am also curious what other Firefox users have installed.
