Google Removes Feature From Google Page Creator

Garett Rogers is reporting that the Google Page Creator just lost a feature that it was recently introduced as experimental. That feature added a link to the homepage that said "Create a site with a different address." If you clicked on that link it would let you create a domain in the format of *.googlepages.com.

Windows Desktop Search 3 Gets Released

Back when I was running Windows XP (now I'm on Windows Vista RC2) one thing that I really loved was the Windows Desktop Search 3. At that time it was still in the Beta stage but it looks like they have finally gotten around to releasing it.

IE 7 Has Their Own Unique Marketing Plan

Firefox is definitely known for having some pretty crazy and viral marketing plans so it looks like Microsoft felt like they had to step it up a notch. They are now taking their advertising campaign to the road in hopes of letting the world know about the new Internet Explorer 7!

CyberNotes: What Are Your Favorite Firefox Extensions

Over time I have had countless encounters with people who ask what Firefox extensions that I use, whether it be people from this site or simply friends that I am trying to convince to start using Firefox. I love telling people what I use but I am also curious what other Firefox users have installed.

Mozilla has officially announced Firefox 2 and included with that is the revamped homepage that is pictured above. Unlike the new Add-ons page this one will actually change the header picture a few times each time you refresh the site.

Don’t Forget: The Firefox 1.x Theme Is Always Available

Almost everyone loves the new Firefox 2 theme but there will always be a few people here and there, like Paul Thurrott, that don't like the new look.

Ubuntu 6.10 On Thursday And Ubuntu 7.04 In April 2007

After weeks of preparation the Ubuntu team is expected to release version 6.10 (Edgy Eft) on Thursday. I have been using a pre-release version of Ubuntu 6.10 for the last week and it seems to be working very well. I had to upgrade the version of Firefox 2 and OpenOffice because newer versions have emerged but other than that everything went smoothly.

Mozilla Firefox Add-ons Page Gets A Nice Facelift

I just went to see what Firefox extensions had been updated today and noticed that the Firefox Add-ons page received a drastic redesign. I think this confirms my thought that Mozilla will be providing a refreshed Firefox homepage when they launch it.

Nero 7 Is Now Vista Compatible

It took a little while and some frustrated Vista users but Nero released a Vista compatible version over a week ago. Thanks to DanBart for pointing this out in the comments otherwise I don't know if I would have gone to see if it was compatible yet.

Paul Thurrott Says Firefox 2 Is A Dud

Paul Thurrott wrote a quick little article about Firefox 2 today where he says that this release "is a dud." It may not have as many new features as I would have liked to see but it is far from a dud in my mind.

Mozilla Firefox Security Bug Not Quite Fixed

An anonymous tipster sent in this bug that Mozilla fixed in Firefox 1.5.0.7 but it is supposed to crash your browser. It is interesting because the bug is still working and will crash your browser.

Google’s Search Engine Creator Makes Filtering Easy

Google just released a Custom Search Engine Creator that lets you make your own search engine with a customizable list of sites that will be included in the search. I went through the initial set of options and had my own search engine up and running in just a few minutes.

CyberNotes: Time Savings Windows Clipboard Software

Computers would not be nearly as productive as they are if they didn't have the copy and paste commands available to use. Think about how often you copy and paste text, files, images, and more throughout the course of your day. I do it so often that it seems like my fingers naturally rest on the Control+C keys on my keyboard.

My Logitech MX Revolution Mouse Review

Over the weekend I decided to buy myself a Logitech MX Revolution mouse which was just recently released. Those of you who have heard of the mouse before have no doubt seen the steep price tag that goes along with it. Yep, this mouse retails for $100 but you can find it at most places, like NewEgg, for around $90.

Internet Explorer Users Can Get Spell Check, Too

Firefox 2 was just released and I think that most of you would agree that one of the most popular features is the inline spell checking. Everyone seems to love that since we have become so accustomed to using it in word processors such as Microsoft Word and OpenOffice.org.

Need Some Tools For YouTube?

YouTube reminds me of an iPod because it is so popular that everyone wants to make software and accessories that work with it. Having such an abundant amount of tools makes it hard for users to find and choose the right one though.

RapidShare.de Now Owns RapidShare.com

I can't believe it took them this long but RapidShare can now be found at RapidShare.de AND the new RapidShare.com. I never thought to see what was available at RapidShare.com before now but looking at the history of that URL reveals a that a previous company owned that address.
