Yay for new features! Google Calendar now lets you search public events by name, city/town, or by the date that an event occurs. The search is pretty logical because it uses public calendars to retrieve the information and it also searches a few partners to show you movie listings and concerts. Autosizer is a unique Firefox extension that doesn't just let you resize the Search Box, instead it will resize it for you. When there is no text in the search box it will take up very little room but as soon as you start typing it will dynamically adjust the width to give you more room for your search.

AOL Instant Messenger version 6.0 is now available to download with a lot of features that I'm sure AIM fans will love. The new interface steps away from the yellow branding that I always associated with AIM and has more of a slick look to it. I was never really fond of the old look but the new one is very nice.

Last week Microsoft had a loop hole in their email sign-up system that allowed anyone to create a @Live.com email address using a single line of JavaScript code. Three days later they were able to patch the problem but now they might close all of the accounts that were created says the Windows Live Mail Blog:
