So Ashley and I decided to go to Best Buy to get one of their 22" monitors that they were offering for $200. It was a great deal but they only had a minimum of 10 so we knew that we would have to get there early. We arrived at the store 7-hours early just to be about 50 people deep into the line.
Trying to impress your friends by displaying your photos in ways they have never seen before? If you are a Flickr user you are just a few clicks away from having a professional looking slideshow that just about everyone will love.
Blogarithm, an alternative to RSS is another great way to keep track of the online content that you are interested in.
Yay! We have now opened up the CyberNet Forum! I have written a post on the forum that explains the purpose and a little bit about how it works.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
One thing that I never understood about Windows was why there are preset locations for the system folders like "My Music" and "My Pictures". Operating Systems are about giving users choices (well, sometimes) and this is something that should be easily adjustable.
Yesterday Netvibes announced several new features and it seemed like every few hours they were blogging about something new. That's why I didn't write about them yesterday because I wasn't sure if they were going to stop or not. Here are the new features that they have added:
It has almost been a week and it looks like the sales of PS3's and Wii's have dwindled down a bit on eBay. I have seen some of the Playstation 3's go for as low as $850 which is just a few hundred above the actual cost of the system. That's not that bad considering the fact that the "real" sales on eBay were previously going for around $3000.
I have full confidence in Mozilla's ability to stay on schedule but I think a release date of next week for Firefox 3 Alpha 1 might be out of the picture. They haven't announced anything officially right now but the time is approaching quickly and the latest nightly builds have been giving me some trouble.

This is a unique service that I stumbled upon earlier today. It is called ReminderFeed and it will create a reminder for in the format of an RSS feed. I thought it was very interesting because you just put in the information about the event and it will generate the subscription links for you. Then when that day comes around it will automatically appear in your feed reader.
The great thing about Flickr is that they host your photos without costing you a thing in bandwidth or storage costs. That is awesome but a problem arises when you want to get your pictures from there.
Looking for that great all-in-one instant messaging client? For most people the free Gaim instant messenger is plenty good enough but Trillian gives that extra boost for the instant messenger power users. :D
One thing that I have heard several complaints about with Firefox 2 is that the tabs are not themed to match what your operating system is using for a theme. Maybe you don't like the darker color of the default tabs but don't worry, it is so unbelievably easy to change that you'll cry.

Here it is! Welcome to the completely new look at CyberNet. If things look a little crazy you need to clear your cache so that your browser will re-download our new stylesheets. You can do that by holding down the Shift key and clicking the reload button or by pressing Ctrl+F5.
It is time for us to do some cleaning to our site later tonight, which is 24-hours ahead of schedule. Yep...get ready for a brand new look including a fresh new logo!
nUbuntu was just updated today to be based on Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft) that was released nearly a month ago. Many of you probably haven't even heard of nUbuntu and don't feel bad because I just learned about it a few weeks ago.
The Google PageRank is a ranking of websites on a scale from 1 to 10 with only a few prestige sites able to earn the perfect 10. Google only updates a site's PageRank a few times a year and when they do people get excited to see if their sites are going to get ranked any higher.
There are all kinds of ways that you can celebrate the launch of a new product: a gathering, cake, or even banners. Microsoft is doing it in style though with a custom PC that they teamed up with Dell to build. I have to admit that it does look pretty sweet but what is even cooler than the graphics on the case are the mad specs that this thing has:
Google is planning on creating their own shopping fiasco except they aren't targeting this Friday (known as Black Friday). Instead, they are going to offer $10 off of a $30 purchase or $20 off of more than $50 on Monday of next week (called Cyber Monday) for those people who use the Google Checkout service.
