Popular Cameras On Flickr (Including Cameraphones)

Months ago I found a list of the top ten cameras that are used on Flickr but it looks like the stats have changed a little bit. This time the charts are coming directly from Flickr with the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT at the top of the list by a mile. What is even more interesting is that they also break-down the stats to show the most popular of point & shoot cameras and cameraphones.

Phixr: Free Online Photo Editor

Tired of needing software to edit your photos? Phixr fixes (pun intended) that problem by offering an easy-to-use online photo editing service . It would be nice if it had some AJAX to it so that the page didn't refresh with each operation but that is something I can live with because of the other great features it has. Here are the things that you can do to a photo:

Microsoft Confirms No ‘Kill Switch’ In Office 2007

The article that ZDNet wrote yesterday caused a huge stir on the web and led people to believe that Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) would have the ability to put the Office Suite in reduced functionality if the software couldn't be validated.

Worldmapper Gives You A Different Look At The World

Numbers on maps are no longer needed with the way that Worldmapper does things. They have a unique approach to displaying maps where they make countries and territories larger the higher they are in the statistic. The example map that I have shown above is for the total world population in which it is apparent that India is at the top of the list.

Computer Geeks Can Make Jokes, Too!

Computer geeks are often tagged as people are are unbelievably dull and have no lives. I'd like to think of myself as having a life but I have met several people that fit the stereotype of a geek. Textbooks, however, are often the last place that I thought a joke could be found but it looks like some computer geek authors have a sense of humor that is just itching to be unleashed.

Microsoft Has A Reduced Functionality Mode In Office 2007

Microsoft is not only fighting piracy in Windows Vista but they are also doing so in Office 2007, just as expected. According to a Knowledge Base article found by ZDNet there will be a reduced functionality mode for those people who are pirating Office 2007.

Two Great Google Reader Tools For Firefox

Google Reader is undoubtedly my favorite online RSS feed reader but I am still in awe that Google hasn't made a notifier for it and their Calendar. Of course a Firefox extension, called the Google Reader Toolkit, has finally popped up that will notify you when there are unread items in your Reader.

CyberNotes: Largest, Most Extreme Yachts!

They appear to get bigger and bigger every year, and range in size from "just" a yacht to "gigayachts." While they are getting bigger, they're also becoming the next "must have" toy for the insanely wealthy people to own.  Of course the list of insanely wealthy people also increases every year which means that if you're in the yacht business... it's probably going pretty good right now!

Tutorial & Video Of Fedora Linux On The PlayStation 3

Bryan sent me an email wondering how he could get a PowerPC friendly Linux distro running on the new PlayStation 3. Unfortunately (or fortunately because of the horrendous price) I don't have a PlayStation 3 to try to figure it out but people are getting Fedora Linux on it without too much trouble.

Finding Color Schemes For Your Website

While developing our new site we decided to move away from the orange text because a lot of readers have emailed me saying that it is hard to see. We decided to go from orange to a more gold color because it is easier to read. The combination of blue and gold that we chose can be seen to the right (they have a few effects applied to them so that they look a little glossy).

Vista Includes More Than 19,000 Drivers

Windows Vista is less than two-weeks away from being released to businesses but the consumer release is still over 2-months away. That leaves Microsoft plenty of time to promote individual features and aspects of the new operating system in hopes of building hype and excitement.

All of this week we have been working on a new site design and we're just wondering if there is anything specific that you would like to see? As of right now the site will have a new look and include some nice new features but it won't be so drastically different that you're not going to recognize the site.

Easy Way To Look For People Stealing Your Content

A big problem for bloggers is that there are always a lot of people that steal your content. In some instances they don't even try to paraphrase the article so they just copy it word-for-word. I have seen this in many instances with articles that I have written and if you contact those people you'll often get a funny response like "oh, I didn't know I was doing that."
