Did you ever see that "Split" Firefox extension I wrote about a little while ago. It wasn't the most extravagant thing but it did let you work on multiple sites side-by-side.

One of the things I always liked about Notepad (other than tabs, fast loading, highlighting for languages, line numbering and such) was that you could split tabs between two areas, so view and work on two things side by side. This is one feature I would really like to see in Firefox - I know you could just stick the tab in a new window and tile, but having tab groups that can then be split into two sides would be excellent.

I'm using *shareware* Emurasoft EmEditor Professional. It loads momentally (~ 0.25 sec!!!), like Windows Notepad, but EmEditor Pro is sooooo advanced! I just love EmEditor, but I will give Notepad++ a try, because I see you guys love Notepad++ too :)

The last version also loaded pretty quickly so I would have to say that it is about the same. In my experience it is fully loading in less than 3 seconds so I would say that is fast.

had a explorer tree sort of feature to make things easier? actually, i kinda freaked out when i realized they had read my mind and released version 4.0. oooo. they're everywhere.

Yep, they're coming out with viruses that travel through your mouse into your body...then anytime you touch your mouse it downloads all of the information from your brain and sends it to the <del>hackers</del> researchers. Pretty cool huh?
