Clean Install from XP to Vista…a Workaround is Needed?

I had never tried the upgrade process from XP to Vista because all of the pre-release editions I played with were all full versions. For that reason I would just do a clean install on my system because we all know that upgrades never seem to go as smooth as you would like them to.

Google Reader Now Supports Embedded Videos

If you use Google Reader, you may have noticed a small but nice update.  Now you'll be able to view videos within the reader that have been embedded into articles.  They were nice enough to offer support for other services besides Google Video and YouTube. Here's the list of supported sites:

Beta No More for Windows Live Messenger 8.1

Windows Live Messenger 8.1 is out of beta and ready for you to download. Consider this the "next generation" messenger that's suitable for Windows Vista.  This version of messenger is available in 8 new languages like Romanian, Thai, and Ukrainian, just to name a few. JAlbum is an application that I have been using for a long long time as an easy way to share personal photos on our website so that our family and friends can easily access them. I've been stuck using version 6 for a long time, and even though the interface was nothing to gawk at ,it got the job done, which was what mattered the most.

WTF? Technorati’s New Digg Clone

No, not "what the..." instead, Where's the Fire? It was over at Technorati for a short time, and then vanished. Steve Rubel over at Micro Persuasion managed to catch it when it was up and running to get screenshots.  Since then it has been taken down, but WTF (Where's the Fire) is Technorati's new Digg-like Clone.

CyberNotes: Do more with Internet Explorer 7

Now that Windows Vista has been released (read our review) I expect to see the number of Internet Explorer 7 users begin to increase. A majority of those users will have previously used Internet Explorer 6 as their primary browser, and I suspect that many of those people will enjoy the changes that they find.
