Get a Taste of RumShot, a Free Screen Capture Program

Get a taste of RumShot! It's an awesome free screen capture program. It's not made to replace any screen capture software for everyday screenshots, instead it's made to add frames, and borders to make your screen shots fancy. RumShot takes both a screenshot of your desktop, but also a preview shot which is what you'll see below.

Scout for Office 2007: What the Doctor Ordered?

I don't think that anyone would argue that getting used to Microsoft Office 2007's new interface takes some time. I've been using Beta 2 for what seems like forever (probably about 8 months in reality) and I finally feel comfortable being able to find the commands that used to reside on toolbars and menus in previous versions of Office.

CyberNotes: Which Browsers Scale Images the Best?

Right now I am using Firefox 2 as my primary browser because some of my extensions don't play nice with the pre-release version of Firefox 3. That's a real shame too because the rendering engine (Cairo) that Firefox 3 offers is really amazing. The only thing is that a lot of people will never think twice about the great things Cairo brings to the table.

FeedRinse: Filters for your RSS

FeedRinse, which launched last March is a great filtering service for your RSS feeds. The purpose of FeedRinse is to hide items that match key words or authors that you don't want to see. You get total control over your feeds, and can easily filter articles and content that wouldn't really interest you. It's one way to prevent information overload which isn't too hard to do with RSS.

Do More When Blogging with Flock – 2 Extensions

A few days ago Ashley wrote up a post about Flock's upcoming "Cormorant" release (with a ton of screenshots) which will offer a lot of great thing that people love in Firefox 2, including the inline spell checker. Some of Flock's other great features will also have some new things to offer, but from the looks of it their blog editor will continue to be neglected.

WordPress 2.1 Due Out Monday, January 22

I normally don't post about WordPress related things but since another milestone release is schedule for Monday I figured I could make an exception. I did mention this release in the forum last week because I came across some amazing screenshots that represented what the Administration screen was supposed to look like.
