Open XML Translator 1.0 Released

Eight months ago, and together with three partners, Microsoft started and funded an Open XML Translator project. Version 1.0 of the plugin has been released with plans for a spreadsheet and presentation translator plugin ready for previews in May, and a final release in November, 2007.

Opera 9.20 Sporting Some Developer Tools, Too

The Opera Desktop Team just announced a new experimental build of the desktop version of the Opera browser. The version that they are currently working on is 9.2 and when released it will have a few new features, including a usage report collection as mentioned a few weeks ago.

Viacom Cracking the Whip, Demands YouTube Remove 100,000 Videos

Viacom who owns brands like BET, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Spike TV and several others, has demanded that YouTube remove 100,000 videos.  That's over 1.2 billion streams that are to be removed immediately.
