Seeing that Google just opened their doors to new registrations it was a sure thing that they would really start to promote the service. In classic Google fashion they thought outside the box in order to include humor in discussing Gmail's biggest features. Don't understand? MSN Soapbox has just flipped the switch from a private beta, to a public beta, giving everyone the chance to give it a try. Soapbox was introduced last September as Microsoft's version of video sharing. Initial reviewers were reporting that it was a disappointment, and was missing some important elements that other well-known services offer.

Yesterday Microsoft released the pre-release of DreamScene as part of the Ultimate Extras that Vista Ultimate users have the capability to use. It's one of those "wow" factors that a lot of people will probably be impressed with. You could take it and use it for it's face value, or you could dive in and try out DeskScapes which extends the Windows DreamScene and adds more capability.

Ever since Google purchased YouTube, they've been getting pretty friendly with the law. Recently, YouTube received a Subpoena from the U.S. District Court in Northern California to identify the user who uploaded episodes of 24, as well as 12 episodes of the Simpsons, both popular shows.
