I was just reading a post by Brandon Paddock regarding a new (free) tool called Start++ that he made for Windows Vista. He works on the search technology over at Microsoft, and sticking with his area of expertise he has gone and made an awesome application.

After dealing with numerous copyright issues, Google is taking a step to filter movies uploaded to YouTube. According to Mercury News, Google has taken on technology from Audible Magic that will be used to deal with unauthorized videos that appear all over YouTube. While this move protects Google from further copyright issues, it could very easily draw some of their massive crowd away.
Fortune recently named Google as the #1 company to work for in 2007. You’ve probably heard about all of the perks like free gourmet food all day long, snacks up the wahzoo, oil changes and car washes on site, and the list goes on. One Google employee took the liberty of creating a page on Flickr where they post pictures of the food they ate at work.

After several delays, Mozilla was finally able to roll out Firefox 2.0.0.2 and 1.5.0.10 today. The release of Firefox 2.0.0.2 is a pretty big one with 158 bugs being squashed: 21 fixed crashing issues, 4 fixed privacy bugs, and 2 fixed memory leaks. Not only that but Vista users will recognize a huge difference in the way that Firefox handles itself.
