Lots of Criticism going on with Vista and Office 2007

In the past week I have received more than 10 emails directing me to articles that all had bad things to say about Windows Vista, and while I think that Vista is far from perfect it surely doesn’t deserve negative attention. Before I go ahead and get started going through some of the things that I have found I want to first say that I am far from a Microsoft fanboy.

Our next poll is up, and we’re wondering, who do you think will be next to cash in on the the Web 2.0 Jackpot?  We’ve already seen some huge pay-outs already, and Google acquiring YouTube definitely tops that list.

Slick Firefox Theme Even Impresses Me

I have always been a huge fan of using the default Firefox theme because I think it is nice and simple. On several occasions I have actually gone out and scrounged around looking for a nice Firefox theme, but each time I have come up empty handed.

Reverse hacker comes out on top and wins $4.3 Million

Reverse Hacker Shawn Carpenter was recently awarded 4.3 million for wrongful termination. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories as an intrusion detection analyst and ended up fired for a probe that he did over a network security breach.

Use your Mobile Phone to Pay for McDonalds?

Vending machines can accept payments from cell phones, so why not McDonald's? Back in September, Coca-Cola announced that it was going to equip all of their vending machines in Japan with the technology that would allow the machines to accept payment via mobile phones. They hope to have this done by the end of 2008.
