Ubuntu’s Mark Shuttleworth Talks about Pre-Installed Linux PC’s

Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth has spoken up on his personal blog what he feels about the recent happenings with Dell, and the possibility that users will be offered the chance to have some distribution of Linux (such as Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, or Fedora) pre-installed on a new PC.

Wired News is reporting that a leaked document from Fox Interactive confirms that MySpace News is in the works. When MySpace was asked about the news site, as expected, they had no comment.

Vista DreamScene Content Pack Available

The video above demonstrates four new videos that Microsoft just posted for use with the Windows Vista DreamScene preview that they made available in the middle of February. If you’re a Vista Ultimate user you can play around with DreamScene and the new videos by performing a Windows Update.

Flickr Makes Ammends with Pro Users by Launching Collections Feature

At the end of January Flickr sent out emails to all of their users saying that they had until March 15th, 2007 to setup a Yahoo! account that would be used to manage the Flickr service. This caused quite an uproar in the blog community as well as all over the web.

If you frequent YouTube, at some point you’ll probably go to watch your favorite video only to find that it’s been removed. Videos can be removed for a variety of reasons, like YouTube removing them because of a copyright issue, or even owners removing their clips.

CyberNotes: Does Firefox Need Widgets?

I am actually surprised at how many times I see people asking whether Firefox needs to have some sort of widget engine built-in. I think a lot of that stems from Opera having the built-in widget handler, so a lot of people think that Firefox is behind in the times as far as this goes.
