Picking up right where Halo 2 left off, Halo 3 is one of the most anticipated games of 2007. Microsoft recently released details about pricing, and packaging.
There will be three different options to choose from:
- The simple standard edition will run you $59.99 and includes just the game. For most people, that’s enough, and they don’t want anything more. For those who like the extras…
- For $69.99 you can purchase the Limited edition which will come packaged in a metal case. There will be an additional bonus disc included, along with two books ( one art, one fiction) that will give players further details on the story-line. If that still isn’t enough…
- The top notch legendary edition will run you $129.99, and will come in a Spartan Helmet Case along with several “extras”. This version might draw people in because it includes a documentary in high definition about the Making of Halo 3, and other extra discs.
No official release date has been announced, but it’s expected sometime in the Fall. That gives you plenty of time to decide which edition will work best for you.
And for all of you die-hard fans who can’t get enough, you can get Halo 3 Wallpapers here, and screenshots here!

is there a launch date yet?
No specific date yet that I’ve heard of, just sometime in the Fall. Lots of people are looking forward to this, so for some, that date can’t come soon enough.
Just checked out Best Buy and it looks like their planning November 15, 2007:
