Opera 9.2 Beta Available – Includes New Speed Dial Feature

A new release of Opera is inching closer, and right now early adopters can get their hands on the official Opera 9.2 Beta. This version actually contains a compilation of features that I have mentioned as they were in development:

OpenOffice 2.2 Released – Fixes Three Highly Critical Vulnerabilities

OpenOffice 2.2 was just released after about a month’s worth of delays. The official announcement has yet to be made on the homepage, but the downloads for OpenOffice 2.2 are currently available on their FTP.

We have been following the Minimo project for almost a year, and they have definitely made some progress. The last big release, however, was several months back and this has caused some people to think that the project is no longer active.

Black Xbox 360 Elite coming April 29

Microsoft can hardly keep a secret which is why information on a secret black Xbox has been floating around for quite some time. If you’re an Xbox fan then April 29 (in U.S. and Canada) is going to be the date for you to remember. That’s when they will be releasing the coveted Xbox 360 Elite that is complete with a 120GB hard drive, HDMI port, black case, and black controller.

Some of you have said that you’d never have a reason to switch back to Yahoo Mail – you tried them, left them, and you’re not going back.  In May of this year, Yahoo will start unrolling email storage to all of their customers.

CyberNotes: Getting the most out of Firefox Sidebars

Firefox is an extremely customizable browser, and combining that with the growing popularity of widescreen monitors results in more sidebars. I used to never use sidebars before I got a widescreen computer because it just took up extra screen space that was otherwise pretty useful. Now you’ll hardly ever find me with a sidebar notopen on my computer!
