DivshareLast night, DivShare launched their DivShare pro accounts that they had mentioned were coming.  Most people will probably be satisfied with the free account option, but just in case, the Pro accounts have a lot of great features and an attractive price that makes it worth it.

When I heard they were going to be offering Pro accounts several weeks ago, I couldn’t think of many additional features that would make the service worth it, other than FTP access. Sure enough, this is one of the features that Pro Account users will enjoy. Every Pro account holder will get a unique FTP login so that they can use an FTP client like FileZilla to easily upload files. If you upload lots of files, this feature is priceless.

They’ve also increased the file size limit to a whopping 2 GB which is unbelievable. There’s really not much that you won’t be able to do with this service.

Another feature has to do with the Power Uploader which they introduced last week for all users. It makes uploading your files simple by just dragging and dropping files into an uploader. It really can’t get any easier than this. You’re limited to 10 files at a time if you have a free account, but for Pro accounts, it’s unlimited.

Pricing is either $9.95 per month, or you can pay as you go and it’s 99 cents per file.  This will come in handy if you’ve got a large file up to 2 GB that you need to upload on occasion.

Thus far, DivShare has done a great job of setting themselves apart from the pack. I am concerned how they will be able to handle themselves once they grow more.  They’ve been around for several months and still remain fairly small, but once the word travels further and people come to check it out, I hope they’ll be able to maintain such an awesome service and additional features that make the experience stand out from all of the others.

$9.95 a month!?!? Ouch!!! You can get top notch hosting for less than that, and do sooo much more with it. Take Servage for example, $7.50 a month for 310GB of storage and 3,000GB/mo of bandwidth.

Not to mention you get an extra 25GB or storage with a coupon code.

Although the 99 cents per file might not be bad for people who use it rarely.
