ICQ 10 years Later – Version 6 Just Released

I had almost completely forgotten about ICQ, the messenger that 10 years ago was “the” messenger service to have.  People including myself didn’t mind remembering the long ICQ ID number to log in, and it really changed the way people communicated over the Internet. It’s a classic, and I’m sure most of you at some point used it.

Putting Google Notebook in your Firefox Sidebar

A few weeks ago we mentioned a new JavaScript version of the Google Notebook that was popping up on search results pages. We guessed that the next thing someone would put together for this would be a bookmarklet…and we were kinda close.

Three more invites for Joost…

We love giving things away, even if it’s a free invite for Joost! I know there are lots of people who are wanting to get in on the Joost beta, which is why we give away our invites as we get them. Unfortunately it’s only been 8 so far. Luckily Kassad, one of our readers, has offered his three invites to other CyberNet readers.

Dell Adds Solid State Drives to Some Notebooks

Dell has taken a huge step in the world of notebook computers…they added a solid state drive (SSD) to the list of hard drive choices available on select notebook models. The two models that received the option are the Latitude D420 and the D620. It is important to note that both of those laptops are high priced and targeted for businesses, not for consumers.

CyberNotes: Searching Google and Other Sites in Firefox…Faster!

I do searches on sites all of the time, and Google has to be at the top of my list. According to my Google Search History I perform about 900 searches per month, which is about 30 per day. That may not seem like that many, but to me that is quite a bit.
