*Sigh* FastStone Capture Turns to Shareware…now $30

I’m sure many of you are going to be just as disappointed to hear that the FastStone Capture software is now shareware. Previously I have raved about how great this software is for taking screenshots, but a lot of that excitement was because it was available at no cost.

iTunes: 2001-2008?

While iTunes has exploded into popularity, could 2007 be the last year of the upward trend and growth? Forrester Research just released a report, and from the looks of it, 2007 will probably in fact be the last big year for iTunes as well as other services that sell TV shows and other video content online.

Microsoft Claims Free Software Violates 235 Patents

Microsoft is throwing their weight around once again, and this time they are going against free and open-source software (FOSS). The 235 patent infringements in question are largely regarding the Linux operating system. They don’t give details as to what the patents cover, but they did break it down a little:
