Say Goodbye to 32-bit Windows; Vista SP1 Sighting

Microsoft is closing the doors on all 32–bit versions of Windows after Server 2008 ships later this year. This announcement came during the second day of WinHEC as Microsoft posted an updated version of their Windows Server shipment schedule:

New Addition to Picasa: Flash Slideshows

First things first: If you haven’t upgraded to Picasa 2.7, now would probably be a good time to do that.  It’s been available for a couple of weeks, and there are major improvements, in particular speed improvements.

Do you think Firefox is Becoming Bloated?

Wired posted an article today discussing what will undoubtedly spark a lot of opinions around the Web. In the article it questioned whether Mozilla’s Firefox Web browser is becoming too bloated, and whether it will be able to maintain its slim identity.

Typo Pulls in $1,000 Per Day for UTube.com

We’ve mentioned UTube before, not to be confused with YouTube, the popular video site.  Last November, the Universal Tube & Rollform Equipment Corporation (UTube.com) decided that they were going to sue YouTube. They went from getting 1,500 visitors per month to over 2 million once the video site gained popularity.

New Features and Changes at My Yahoo!

Back in March Yahoo redesigned their personalized homepage (My Yahoo), to give it a new Web 2.0 look and feel.  It was a huge improvement, but at the time they said they weren’t done yet. They promised new features, and just last night some of those features started rolling out.

Flock 0.8 Is Looking Pretty Darn Good

I just saw a post on the Flock blog today reminding everyone of the test day last week for a pre-release version of Flock 0.8. The point of these test days are to find bugs and problems in Flock before it is released to the public, and it sounds like it should be in final form within a month or so.
