Yesterday, Google Blogoscoped noticed a new YouTube player from a video that was embedded into a blog. Some of you may have also noticed this new player over the last several days. The two images below show what it looks like. You’ll notice that the new player will show you a thumbnail for recommended videos right within the player. You can also play those videos from the player instead of being directed to the YouTube site.

Any first impressions? I think the updated player looks great, and I love the idea of being able to play the related videos right from the same player.
