Yesterday was a big day for Facebook after they launched Facebook Platform. Ever since the details were announced, it’s been getting quite the attention and buzz around the Internet.
This week I came across a website called Computer Stupidities that is filled with true stories (most of them anyways) of experiences people have had dealing with those who aren’t… quite… computer literate.
Ever wonder what the entry way at the Zune headquarters looks like? Me neither. But, just in case you’re curious now, the image below is what you’ll find:
Just the other day we announced that Dell was going to be shipping Ubuntu on three different computer models, and the time is here for you to be the first to own one of those computers. Here is a look at the three computers you have to choose from:

The Linux community has always been known to be very dedicated to the open source cause, and this is just more proof of that. Instead of just donating money to a Linux project, Tux500.com decided to take a different route (no pun intended) by promoting the operating system.
Google has a list of topics that are banned from appearing in their AdWords program. It’s written in their policy that words relating to alcohol, fireworks, cigarettes, prostitution, and a handful of others are off-limits.
Many people spend a lot of their time during the day chatting online with friends. It can be a fun way to pass some time and catch up with what your friends are doing, but is it secure?
Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs are a bit on the pricey side, there’s no question about that. And because people do spend good money for these movies, many of them want to be able to make a back-up copy should the disk go bad. Soon, copying the disks legally may be a reality.
When we mentioned the Vystal software a month ago I was pretty excited. It was the first solution to come forward which offered Vista-like visual effects in Windows XP.
One of the hardest things about formatting your hard drive and starting fresh is digging around for all of the drivers you need. You have your printer, camera, mouse, keyboard, and external drives all nicely installed, and trying to get everything back to normal after reinstalling Windows can be a huge pain. Maybe it isn’t as bad as you think with DriverMax…
Dell started out in 1984 and has evolved into the 25th largest company in the United States according to revenue ($56 billion in 2006). Now to celebrate their 23rd anniversary they are offering some great deals, and there is also a new feature I caught a glimpse of.

We’re about mid-way through the week, and so far our poll has produced some interesting results. We asked, “what do you use for voice communication?” This question came after an article published by the Associated Press talked about the recent trend of moving away from landline phones and using cell phones instead.
Google buy FeedBurner was the question that everybody was asking last week when rumors surfaced that an acquisition was under-way. It makes perfect sense. FeedBurner is known as RSS Management service that many, many sites use, as well as an advertising service that’s held its own.
Box.net is an extremely popular file storage site that offers 1GB of storage for free, and some Web services like Netvibes even have modules to make accessing your files super easy.
One of my biggest pet-peeves with Digg’s RSS feed is that they do not include a link to the original source. You have to click on the link to the news item on Digg, and then from Digg, click to view the original article. This problem has been solved for me with the use of DiggRess – an alternative RSS feed for Digg.
Technorati is best known as a blog search engine– they track blogs. And while Technorati was really useful for a lot of people at one point, I don’t think they’re doing so well. I think many of their troubles started after Google Blog Search stepped on their turf.
Google has always been fairly lenient when it comes to attaching large files which was nice. Before they had a 10MB limit, but some people had said that Google would allow up to 15MB worth of attachments which was pretty cool. On May 15th they officially bumped the maximum attachment size up to 20MB!
I’m one of those people who doesn’t know what they would do if their Web browser didn’t have tabs. The problem is that I am a tabaholic and always seem to have 20+ Tabs open at any one given time.
