My favorite firewall is now compatible with Windows Vista! Well, maybe not entirely since it is still alpha, but the pre-release of Comodo Firewall 3 seems to be running pretty well for me.
This early Alpha version is only available via the Comodo Firewall Forum, which requires that you register to gain access to the download links.
Over the last month, a new shiny blue bar has appeared off and on at the top of the Yahoo search results page. I haven’t seen it yet for myself, but there are a handful of screenshots floating around the web. It appears this is something Yahoo is testing, presumably for further implementation.
From the looks of it, you might be able to customize the color. It’s currently blue, but it looks as though it would be easy
For a little while yesterday, Apple had a section on Leopard’s Boot Camp page that discussed a pretty useful feature. It said that Boot Camp was going to utilize the Mac’s "safe sleep" mode (equivalent to hibernation in Windows) to give users a one-click option to restart the computer in Windows.

There are some Firefox extensions that are more useful than others, and one of the featured extensions over at Learn Firefox yesterday was StatusbarEx. It is probably one of the more useful extensions that I have seen because it not only displays the memory usage for your entire computer, but also for Firefox.

Google just added a new feature to everyone’s Gmail accounts that allows you to open PowerPoint files (with the PPT file extension) right there in your email. This isn’t a surprise because it had peaked out about a month ago, but it is nice to finally have it available in my Gmail account.

In April after the announcement that Google was acquiring DoubleClick, Microsoft said “not so fast” and protested the sale saying that it would “hurt competition in the fast-growing market for advertising on the Web and raise questions about how much personal information would be collected by Google.”
Now Google is complaining about Microsoft’s Windows Vista saying that it stifles competition, in particular, with the built-in Vista searching
