If you’re anything like me your Flash drive is almost like carrying a pocket knife. Mine contains a whole arsenal of applications and tools that are always ready to assist me. I’ve always got it with me wherever I go, and it definitely comes in handy when I’m repairing someone’s computer.

We’ve seen this Ubuntu installer for Windows before, but now it has new features and a new name: Wubi Beta. It uses no confusing lingo, and even lets you choose a variety of options that similar applications don’t offer:

Despite the fact that the iPhone will be released in just a few short days, we still really haven’t heard much about the details of the phone in regards to settings, and even some of its features. A recent video floating around the web gives us a glimpse at some of the settings that you can expect, including a sample of a few ringtones.

IE7Pro: Inline Spell Checking and Statusbar Weather

IE7Pro is the single biggest browser add-on that I’ve ever seen. We’ve previously outlined some of the features that it enhances Internet Explorer 7 with, but we thought that it was time to take another look at it. Heck, in the last 5-months it has received 7 updates, and almost every update adds at least one new feature.

Google’s Acquisition De Jour: GrandCentral

Back in May, a screenshot from an Adobe Breeze presentation yielded an interesting Google Talk screenshot which included new links like “show dial-pad,” “call details,” and “close.” This gave us great indication that Google has plans of incorporating a calling feature where users would be able to dial-out and place phone calls right from Google Talk.
