Eee Mobile PC Coming in Under $200

Mobile computers continue to drop in cost, and as a result we get smaller PC’s that offer more bang for the buck. The low-cost mobile computer craze all started with the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) who’s goal was to create a computing device that could be sold for $100 each to developing countries.

Choose Colors for Your Firefox Tabs with ChromaTabs

If you typically have multiple tabs open at a time in Firefox, and multiple tabs for the same site, you’ll probably like ChromaTabs.  ChromaTabs is a Firefox extension which will assign a color to your opened tabs. Essentially you’re color-coding the sites that you visit which makes it quicker and easier to find them in your Tab Bar.

Windows Home Server on the Home Stretch

After 3-years in the making Windows Home Server has been sent to manufacturing. It was tested internally by 1,000 Microsoft employees which eventually grew to more than 100,000 public Beta testers. It was supposed to be sent to the manufacturer on June 22nd, but it apparently suffered from some minor delays.

Microsoft Patent Reveals Taskbar Ideas?

Microsoft published an interesting patent on July 12th that details what could very well be a Windows Taskbar replacement. The images associated with the application can be viewed in this PDF that I put together, otherwise you need to have a TIFF image viewer (or QuickTime) installed to view the images in your browser.

Apple fan or not, if you haven’t visited “The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs,” go take a look around, it’ll be worth it. The blog has become quite popular over the last several months, and even the real Steve Jobs has admitted to reading the blog.

ATM Thief Reprograms Money Dispenser

I thought it was bad when a message appeared on an ATM saying that Windows needed to be activated, but I think it’s worse when the owner of an ATM doesn’t change the master password from it’s default which results in an “ATM Robbery.”
