Paint.NET is one of my favorite free options for editing photos because it’s got a lot of great features, yet it is simple and easy to use.  We’ve mentioned it on the site before, and some of you may already use it.

Gyration Media Center Remote Review

A few days ago I had the pleasure of getting my hands on a specialized Media Center remote by Gyration. If it sounds familiar, that’s because this is the same remote control that Alienware includes with their Hangar18 Media Center PC. So what makes this remote control so much better than any other?

Windows 7 Release Date in 2010 – Make your Prediction Here!

Microsoft announced that if everything goes according to plan (like that ever happens in the world of software) then Windows 7 will be available sometime in 2010. That gives Microsoft more than three years to round up all of their new features, plan them out, develop them, and test them.

Both Ryan and I are pretty personable people. We like to interact with the community here and elsewhere, and we like to understand and get to know our readers. Similarly, we’d like our readers to know a little bit about us too!

CyberNotes: Chow.com “For Those Who Live to Eat”

One of the best sites that I’ve come across for those who enjoy food and entertaining is Chow.com. There are so many different recipe and food sites out there these days, but most of them have a listing of recipes and nothing more.

Nested Labels in Gmail (Sub-Labels or Folders)

One feature that I’ve always wanted in Gmail was the ability to organize my labels in a folder-like structure. By that I mean that I want to nest the labels one inside of another so that my list isn’t quite so long. This kind of structure is probably referred to the most as sub-labels.

The Power of Thoughts to Control Objects

Imagine if you could control objects around you with your thoughts, like a robot made specifically for those with special needs. Or, imagine controlling a video game with your thoughts instead of a controller. The idea may seem far-fetched, but it’s not. The video below will explain exactly what I’m talking about:

We’re stepping away from the humorous technology types of jokes today and changing gears to something non-tech related - accidents. I know, how funny could that be? But, they are.

Vista SP1 Download Not Coming this Week

The Windows Connected Blog received an announcement today from Microsoft that they were told to share with everyone. Customize your YouTube Player

We had heard about a corporate version of YouTube coming, but all of a sudden YouTube launched a new feature for everyone that lets you customize the YouTube player. It’s definitely a unique aspect that I think some sites will really grasp onto, but as it stands right now it looks as though you can only choose from a few default themes.
