People have started to ask me "what is Web 3.0?" As with most of you I have no idea what to expect Web 3.0 to be, but if I had to guess it would be Web applications that can be taken offline in an instant. For example, you’re about to leave for a long trip and you want access to your email while you’re on the plane.

Microsoft’s Photosynth application is something that could change the way we look at pictures, literally. The technology is similar to how you stitch together multiple images to make one large panoramic view, except Photosynth puts them together to create a 3D view of objects.

I’m sure there are some of you who would love to work for Google some day, but know it’s just not possible, whatever the reason may be. Now there’s an opportunity for you to get as close to working for Google as you could possibly get, without actually being hired by them.

A word of caution for those hunting for a job: make sure that your online profile is “clean” because employers are using information that they find online to help them determine who they should hire.

Stardock just released WindowBlinds 6 Beta, which is a milestone when it comes to skinning. This version adds a host of great new features for both Vista and XP users, with the most notable thing being the blur effect.

Earlier this weekend Mozilla released Firefox 3 Alpha 7 to the public.
