Viewing Earth from Space … Almost

Ever wondered what the Earth looks like from 117,597 feet above the ground? Yeah, me neither. But the photos you’re going to see here gives you a glimpse of what the Earth looks like from more than 22.27 miles away and it’s pretty awesome. Especially knowing the pictures were taken from a helium balloon which was launched on August 11, 2007 by some guys in Alberta, Canada.

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has already had a rough summer. First it was the announcement that they’d be spending approximately 1 billion on Xbox 360 repairs, and now they’re faced with another issue: smoking Xbox 360 racing wheels.

Unlocked iPhone Works on T-Mobile and Others…

Wow, that didn’t take long. The iPhone launched June 30th, it’s now August 24th, less than two months later and the iPhone has been unlocked from the AT&T Network. Engadget has reported that a team called iPhoneSIMfree.com has created software that takes the exclusivity away from AT&T.

TweakVista: Change Vista Settings

Stardock’s TweakVista 1.0 was just released the other day, and freeware advocates will be happy to see that there is a no-cost alternative available. This is a well-designed app that many Vista users will surely love, and the last time I used it I put together a video of the version that costs $19.95 to purchase.

All of you Linux fans out there are definitely going to be able to sympathize with this guy. Scott McCausland, a proud Linux user, was convicted of downloading an episode of Star Wars illegally over BitTorrent last year.

Why Block YouTube Ads?

Right now I feel pretty bad for the YouTube team because of all the vulgar comments they’re receiving over the recent addition of video overlay ads. Most of the comments are irrelevant to helping YouTube improve the ad experience for the users, and if you decide to go look through the comments I’m sure you would see how immature some people can really be.
