Make the XP Taskbar Transparent

Transbar is a nifty little app for those of you who want to see a little bit more of your desktop background. It weighs in at just 88KB, and after a quick setup process you'll be able to adjust the transparency of your Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista Taskbar.

Yahoo to Acquire Zimbra for 350 Million

All along I had been wondering why Yahoo hadn't acquired Zoho (Online Office Suite) yet. In fact, back in July I asked this very question and I suggested that Yahoo seemed like a likely buyer because Microsoft has no need for them, and Google has their own Office Suite. According to BoingBoing, the new iPods are blocked from synching with any third party app like Winamp. Seeing as there's no version of iTunes for Linux, that means there's  no point for Linux users to purchase a new iPod.

Google Analytics Desktop App Preview

I don't think that many people would argue that Google Analytics is among the best visitor tracking solutions available, but one of the problems is that you're restricted to viewing the stats in your browser. The Analytics Reporting Suite will be the first program to bring Google Analytics, in its entirety, outside of your browser and on to your desktop!

CyberNotes: Create 3D Pictures in Paint.NET

There is so much you can do with Paint.NET, it's just a matter of knowing what you can do, and how to do it! We've already shown you how to use some of the basic features in Paint.NET, and we've shown you how to make a Web 2.0 logo.  Today's Pain.NET tutorial will teach you how to take an image and make it appear as though it is "popping out." The image below is the example I'll be explaining in this tutorial.
