Convert Images to ASCII Art, in Color!

Being the geeks that we are I'm sure you've tried at one time or another to create some sweet ASCII art. When you look at some of the ASCII art that has been done it almost looks like it should be simple, but there is an insane amount of time that is spent getting the spacing and character density just right.

Download Mandriva 2008 … it’s HOT!

Ever since I tried Mandriva 2007 I felt that it was well ahead of other Linux distributions, and the same feeling has sprung upon me today with the new Mandriva 2008. After looking at all of the features I couldn't help but think that this is HOT! Serious Excel Multiplication Bug Now Fixed

A few weeks ago we reported about a serious excel multiplication bug that was exposed in which Excel 2007 incorrectly multiplied certain numbers. For example, by multiplying 850 by 77.1, you'd receive an answer of 100,000. We know that the answer is really 65,535, and unfortunately, that wasn't the only number that Excel was having issues with.

Word 2007 Viewer Now Available from Microsoft

A few months ago we talked about .docx files in Microsoft Word 2007 and the problems that you could run into if you created a document in and saved it in the .docx format but sent it to someone to read who was using an earlier version of Office. Widgets on the Wii with Opera

Nintendo and Opera just launched a new version of Internet Channel for the Wii. It is a free upgrade for all existing users, which is especially nice if you managed to get it for free before June 30. Unfortunately I didn't buy my Wii until after that deadline, and have yet to plop down 500 Wii points (equivalent to $5) for it.

CyberNotes: Must-Have Firefox Tab Manager

It's not often that I come across a Firefox extension that does so much that it actually warrants its own CyberNotes article, but Tab Kit is one of those extensions. The only thing is that the extension is so new that it's still in the Mozilla Sandbox, and therefore requires an extra step or two to actually get it installed.
